Lacrosse NS- Provincial Coach/Technical Director

May 15, 2014 – Lacrosse Nova Scotia (LNS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Chet Koneczny as its new Technical Director.

Hailing from Ontario but with Nova Scotia ties, Chet currently lives in Denver, where he is in his second year with the Colorado Mammoth (NLL). In addition to his professional playing career, Chet is now in his second year as a field lacrosse coach at Colorado Academy (Private School), as well as being the Founder/CEO of the ‘Lax Life Lacrosse Company’ (www.laxlife.ca).

A certified teacher (B. Ed from University of Windsor) Chet notes program development, assessment and evaluation as his skill sets, as he has had to use these in his current position as a teacher, coach and entrepreneur. Chet is also a certified Strength and Conditioning coach, certified to train elite athletes as well as the general population. 

Chet has had a distinguished career playing at the Professional (NLL) and International level in both Box (indoor) and Field Lacrosse. His experience is complemented with extensive coaching and sport-specific education and his love for the game. 

Chet looks forward to beginning his work with the organization, and becoming a part of the close knit lacrosse community in Nova Scotia on June 2.
