Volunteers needed for Girls Nationals
2013-07-19Volunteers are needed from the lacrosse community to help out with Girls Nationals at BMO from July 22 to 28th. Please see Full Story for details on how you can help out.
Nova Scotia Lacrosse community, we want you!
The host committee of the 2013 Female National Box Lacrosse Championships is keen to make sure lacrosse players from across the country feel the great Nova Scotlan hospitality! What better way to experience this great event than be involved??
The tournament starts this Tuesday, July 23 and runs until Sunday, July 28th at the BMO centre.
Here is a list of positions that need to be filled:
1. Control Room Volunteer (adult)
- game sheets, 50/50 money, answer questions about facilities, places in halifax, etc.
2. Time keepers (16+ with lacrosse game knowledge)
- score clock, game sheet, 30 second clock
3. Runners (~12-15 year olds)
- run games sheets, fruit/drinks to teams and officials, etc.
4. Website / stats (computer savvy)
- maintain and update the website as game results/stats come in.
The shifts are typically 3 games - so there will be a morning shift, afternoon shift, and evening shift. However, if you have a specific time frame to volunteer, we can make that work.
