ECJLL (M) - Hurricanes Ride the Rapids to Game 1 Victory

The Halifax Hurricanes opened their playoffs in convincing fashion, defeating the visiting Saint John Rapids 12-3 to take Game 1 of the best-of-5 series.
The Hurricanes scored 8 unanswered goals thru almost 3 quarters before Hurricanes goalie Gage McPhee finally allowed one past him. He would eventually allow just 2 more goals and the Hurricanes would cruise to victory.
The Hurricanes were lead by Ben Allison with 7 points (4G 3A). Isaac Abbott added a hattrick, while Zach Glazebrook (2), Jacob Kennedy (2) and Owen Cox also scored for the Hurricanes.
Nate Watson scored all 3 goals for the Rapids.
The teams return to action for Game 2 Sunday night at 7:30pm at the Lord Beaverbrook Rink in Saint John.
