Update on cancelled games and playoff scenarios
One of the ECJLL's goals each year is that all teams have a fair opportunity to win the ECJLL title, which begins with the ability to qualify for the playoffs.
Saturday's game between the Warriors and Rapids has been cancelled due to lack of available officials (no fault of either team). This game would have a direct impact on the 4th playoff spot in the ECJLL (M) 2022 season.
Due to ECJLL players playing in the Canada Games in early August, playoff scheduling is tight. Understanding there is no perfect solution to our current situation, the ECJLL has announced a decision regarding the treatment of the cancelled games and the playoff scenarios that come into play to determine the final playoff spot for the 2022 ECJLL (M) season. The results of Sunday game between the Dartmouth Bandits and Saint John Rapids will have the league move forward in the following way:

1. The game that was cancelled between the Rapids and Warriors will be considered a 0-0 tie and both teams have been given a single point in the standings. The game that was cancelled between the Wolves and Bandits has been treated the same way. The current ECJLL (M) Standings reflect this decision.

- Bandits win - the St. Margaret's Bay Rebels get 4th place and will move on to the playoffs due to most points (playoff series against the Hurricanes will begin Monday July 11 at 7:30pm in Spryfield).
- Rapids win - Saint John Rapids get 4th place and will move on to the playoffs due to most points (playoff series against the Hurricanes will either begin Wed July 13 or Sat July 16 in Spryfield)
- Tie game - Rebels and Rapids would be tied for 4th place in the standings:
- The teams (Rebels and Rapids) would then play a 1 game playoff to decide the final playoff spot
- This game will be played at a neutral site, date and time selected by the Commissioner
