Aiden Doyle Records Shut Out in First ECJLL Game

16 year-old Aiden Doyle records the ECJLL's 2nd shutout in a week (and 2nd by a 16 year-old) as the Sportwheels Wolves defeat the visiting Mi'kmaq Warriors 16-0.

Aiden Doyle made the most of his first ECJLL start, securing a shutout win (16-0) for the Sportwheels Wolves. After 3 seasons of ECJLL games without a shutout this is the 2nd shutout in the past week.

Zac Carrigan had 9 points (6 goals 3 assists) to move into 1st place in both goals (20) and points (30). Mitch Broussard had 7 points (2 goals 5 assists) to move into the lead in assists (16). Rookie Jack Dulong recorded his 1st ECJLL hat-trick while Mike Anthony had 6 points (2 goals 4 assists) and Ben MacKay had 5 points (2 goals 3 assists). Alfie West also had 4 assists.

Jordan Whitford (Wolves) and Aiden Ring (Warriors) played their first game after swapping teams via trade last week.

The Wolves are now in a tie for 2nd-place with the Halifax Hurricanes with 2 games remainingin the regular season, while the Warriors have been officially eliminated from the playoffs.  The two teams return to action this Friday evening as the Warriors host the Wolves in Truro.
