Revised Spectator Policy
2021-07-16As Nova Scotia moves into Phase 4 of its reopening plan, the ECJLL has revised its Spectator Policy accordingly.
In accordance with Nova Scotia Covid Protocols and Lacrosse Nova Scotia Return to Play Plan, the ECJLL has revised it’s “Spectator Requirements”, which will be in effect until further notice:
- Spectators - Maximum spectator numbers are dependent on the NS Re-Opening Guidelines for Phase 4 for Sport, facility capacity and the Lacrosse Nova Scotia “Return to Lacrosse Plan”. In this Phase, LNS has stated that attendance is limited to the lower of 92 spectators or the limit allowed by the facility where the game will be played. Spectator capacity is also dependent on the ability of our volunteers to ensure that these Guidelines are enforced. If volunteer capacity is limited, spectator attendance will be reduced.
- Ticket Allocation - Tickets for each game must be arranged in advance through each team’s allocation. Tickets will not be available at the door.
- Masks - Masks are mandatory. Spectators and volunteers must wear them at all times inside the facility.
- Covid Screening - Every volunteer and spectator must be COVID screened, and contact tracing records must be kept for every practice and game played. There must be a Session Administrator for each team who is responsible for this.
- Social Distancing - Everyone should be aware of social distancing (6 ft. separation) when not in the field of play. Spectators must maintain social distancing in the stands.
- Hand sanitization coming into the rink is important.
- Wherever possible, dressing rooms assignments and spectator areas in the stands should be designated to avoid crossover contact between games.
- Where possible, use one ‘in’ door and one ‘out’ door, if the facility set up allows. Try to separate the flow of people in and out of the arena.
- Spectators will only be allowed to enter the facility 5 minutes before game time and must leave immediately after the game ends.
- No food or drink is allowed in any arena.
