Hurricanes Win 3rd Straight to Start the Season

The Warriors stayed with the Hurricanes for most of the game, but the Hurricanes went on a 9-2 run in the final 15 minutes to seal the win, 15-8.
The Mi'kmaq Warriors came to play, and for over two and a half quarters the teams traded goals in end-to-end action, but a strong run by the Hurricanes in the 4th quarter gave them their 3rd straight win to start the season.
It was a 5 point night for three Halifax players (G Holmes 4G 1A, Jonah Glazebrook 3G 2A, Ben Allison 2G 3A). Will Holmes also had a hat trick and singles to Isaac Abbott, Jackson Davis and Marshall Taylor. Gage Macphee earned his first win of the season in nets.
The Warriors had two players with 4 point nights (Garrett Hines 3G 1A and Lewis Jarvie 1G 3A) while Connor Dennis added 2 goals and Jordan Whitford and James Jobes added singles.
The Hurricanes will play their fourth game in eight nights as they head to Sackville and the Wolves home opener on Tuesday night, while the Warriors next game is Friday night in Truro against the Rebels.
