Hurricanes Spoil Warriors Home Opener

2021-07-10

Hurricanes goalie Nate Jollymore holds the Warriors to just 2 goals to lead his team to their second win of the year.

After almost two, very long, years, the Mi'kmaq Warriors opened their 2021 ECJLL season at home, against the Halifax Hurricanes.

Hurricanes goalie Nate Jollymore stood tall, allowing only 2 goals, while his Hurricanes teammates scored 7, to win 7-2. The Hurricanes were led by captain Jonah Glazebrook with 2 goals. Also with 2 goals was Aidan Childs, and single goals were scored by Isaac Abbott, Francis Grayson and assistant captain Glen Holmes, who also had 3 assists in the game.

The Warriors scored the first and last goals of the night, both being scored by Mackenie Maloney and assisted by Connor Dennis. Warrior newcomer Lenny Marshall also had his first ECJLL assist on the last goal of the game.

The Hurricanes and Warriors face off again, in Halifax this time, just 48 hours later this Sunday night for the 4th ECJLL game of the weekend.
