LNS Bulletin 6 COVID-19
April 22, 2021

At this time, Public Health has announced restrictions specific to the Halifax Regional Municipality and Hubbards.  For sport, this means that facilities are closed and no sport activities can be done until May 20th.  This means that our spring box lacrosse season will be postponed until that time within HRM and Hubbards.  This includes Metro Minor Lacrosse League, East Coast Junior Lacrosse League, Nova Scotia Senior Lacrosse League and NS Masters Lacrosse League, who run game schedules that start in May.  It also includes all practice and skills development programs for St Margaret’s Storm Lacrosse Club, Wolves Lacrosse Club, Eastern Shore Breakers Lacrosse Club, Halifax Hurricanes Lacrosse Club and Dartmouth Bandits Lacrosse Club.  All Lacrosse Nova Scotia provincial programs are also postponed.  All programs will resume when Public Health Directives allow.

For all Leagues and Clubs outside HRM, including Scotia Minor Lacrosse League, Valley Thunder Lacrosse Club, Truro Bearcats Lacrosse Club, Pictou County Snipers Lacrosse Club and Cape Breton Warriors Lacrosse Club, activities can continue within Phase 4 of the Lacrosse NS Return to Play Plan and following Facility Plans for the venues they use.  Particular emphasis on risk management and the safety of all participants will be the primary concern.
Our continuing priority is to keep everyone safe at all lacrosse programming in Nova Scotia.

We appreciate that this is important to all our lacrosse community, as well.  We know the benefit that being involved in fun, physical activities and sport has for youth and adults in the community. We thank all our volunteers who have been working so hard to have a spring season this year, after not having one in 2020.  It is very appreciated in these unusual times.  Stay Safe!
