Bandits take Game #2 to move within a win of the title

Bandits take the Wolves down 9 - 5 on the road. The Bandits victory moves themselves to within one win of there 4th ECJLL title. Game #3 goes goes back to Shearwater on Friday night
Game 2 of the ECJLL Best of 5 Championship series was played last night at Sackville Arena, and as expected, the Dartmouth Bandits and Sackville Wolves played a fast and hard game.
The 1st period belonged to the Bandits who scored first in 74 seconds from the top and continued to score twice more in this period, while blanking the Wolves at the same time. Bandits took the lead at the 1st with a score of 3-0.
In the 2nd period, the scoring remained non-existent for the first 12 minutes, when the Wolves finally got on the scoreboard. They then added 2 more goals to their total, out scoring the Bandits in this 20 minutes of play, as the Bandits netted 2 goals, but who maintained the lead at the end of the 2nd 5-3.
With the 3rd period in play, Wolves were first to score in this period. Bandits then revved up their scoring efforts, scoring 4 goals in a row before Wolves could add another goal on the board with just over 2 minutes left in the game. Bandits win Game 2 with a score of 9-5.
Bandits scoring team in this game were Luke Stienburg with a hat trick, Alex Bungay with a pair, and captain Gaten Tremblay, Matt Brenzel, Cody Carta-Bomersine and Dakota Morrisey all adding a goal. Goalie Ayden Pierro had a great game denying any goals in the 1st, and blocking some big shots that came his way.
Scoring for the Wolves were Zac Carrigan with another hat trick, with captain Mitch Broussard and Ben McKay Scoring a goal each.
Bandits now lead the series 2-0, forcing the Wolves into a Do or Die situation for Game 3. Check out the action for this series defining game tomorrow night for Friday Night Lax at Shearwater Arena, face off at 730pm.
