Bandits draw first blood in ECJLL Finals

In a defensive battle the Dartmouth Bandits hold strong at home taking down the Sackville Wolves 7-5 in game 1 of the ECJLL finals. Game #2 goes tonight in Sackville as the Wolves look to even up the series
Game 1 of the ECJLL 2019 Championship series between Dartmouth Bandits and Sackville Wolves was held at Shearwater Arena and it definitely set the tone of great lacrosse action for this matchup.
During the 1st period, both teams were strong on their defence and the first goal was not scored until Bandits found the net at 8:09 on the clock. This would be the only goal in this period, with the Bandits leading Wolves 1-0.
Wolves came on the floor in the 2nd period ready to reply, and did so in 1:32 into this period. Action was even on both ends of the floor during these 20 minutes as each team was able to score 2 goals. At the end of the second, Bandits continued to lead 3-2.
Despite the heat in the rink, players on both teams kept up the action with Wolves netting 3 goals, while Bandits added another 4 to their total. Bandits stole the win of Game 1 with a final score of 7-5.
Scoring for the Wolves was led by Zac Carrigan with 4 goals, as Ryland Baird added a goal to the Wolves total.
Bandits scoring team included Dakota Morrisey with a hat trick, and Luke Stienburg, Chris Malette, Dalton Brown and Brady Crossley all adding a goal apiece.
Game 2 goes tonight at Sackville Arena at 7:30pm. Be there early to check out some Halifax Thunderbirds merchandise and grab a seat. ECJLL has some of the best fans in lacrosse and we love seeing you all come out to cheer these 2 awesome teams on!
