Bandits sweep the Mavericks

Change of location wasn't enough to put the Mavericks over the top as they fall in game 3, 12 -8. The win moves the Bandits on to the finals and await the winner of the Wolves and Hurricanes
On Sunday afternoon, Dartmouth Bandits travelled to Moncton for Game 3 of their semi final playoff series a the NB Mavericks.
Bandits were first to score in the 1st period and they kept up the scoring barrage throughout this period, netting 6 goals. During the same period, Mavericks were only able to find their opponent‘s net for 1 goal, finishing the period trailing the Bandits 1-6.
In the 2nd period, Bandits were once again the stronger scoring team, adding 5 goals to their score, while the Mavericks had a little more success in scoring, netting 3 goals. After 40 minutes of play, Bandits were leading 11-4.
During the 3rd period, Mavericks became the team who was stronger scoring team, scoring 4 goals and only allowing the Bandits to get 1 goal in. Despite this strong period, it was not enough to overtake the lead, as Bandits win the game with a score of 12-8.
Scoring leaders for the Bandits were Dakota Morrisey with 5 goals, and Tyson Carvery, Luke Steinburg and Alex Bungay who all had 2 goals each.
Mavericks scoring was led by Pete Stanger who had 2 goals.
With winning Game 3, Bandits win this semi final series 3-0 and advance to the ECJLL 2019 Championship! Their opponen for the championship is still undecided as the Halifax Hurricanes and Sackville Wolves continue their semi final best of 5 series.
