Bandits take game one against the Mavericks

The Bandits take a 7 goal first period to a 1 - 0 series lead over the Mavericks, with a 15 - 7 victory at Sherwater. A short turn around as the teams will be back in action Saturday afternoon at Shearwater.
In Friday Night Lax action this past weekend, Game 1 of semi final playoff series between 1st place Dartmouth Bandits and 4th place NB Mavericks kicked off a great weekend of lacrosse playoff action.
From the first faceoff, Dartmouth Bandits began a domination of the floor and the scoreboard. In the 1st period, Bandits played a strong offensive game and scored 7 times on their opponent’s net, while holding the Mavericks to only 1 goal, ending the period in a 6 point lead.
During the 2nd period, Mavericks started to add to their side of the scoreboard, adding 3 goals. Bandits did out score the Mavericks in this period as well, netting 5 goals and ending the period with 12-4 on the scoreboard.
In the 3rd period, Mavericks held the Bandits to a tie period, with each team scoring 3 goals, but in the end, Bandits stole the win with a 15-7 score.
Scoring for the Mavericks were Jaden Hewey with 4 goals and an assist, Bryson Purski with 2 goals and an assist and Adam Gallop with a goal.
Bandits scoring leaders were Matt Wilson and Luke Stienburg who both had hat tricks and Cody Carta-Bomersine and captain Gaeton Tremblay Jr who each had a pair.
This win put Dartmouth Bandits winning the first game of the series and leading 1-0.
