Bandits sweep the season series against the Bandits

Bandits take down the Warriors move them 2 points away from clinching top spot in the ECJLL standings. These two will meet next Friday night in Truro.
Saturday Night Lacrosse this past weekend had the Mi’kmaq Warriors hosting the Dartmouth Bandits at the Colchester Legion Arena during the Scotia Minor Lacrosse League Championship weekend! Lots of great lacrosse action was had in the Barn this weekend!
It took a few minutes for the scoring to start in the 1st period, but once the Bandits had it going, they dominated the scoreboard over the rest of the period, scoring 9 goals. Warriors were only able to get 2 goals on the board during the first 20 minutes of play, ending the 1st behind Bandits at 2-9.
During the 2nd period of play, Bandits continued to be the stronger team on the defense by blanking the Warriors scoring, and added another 4 points to their side of the scoreboard. At the end of the 2nd period, Bandits were up 13-2 over the Warriors.
With the 3rd period underway, the Warriors found their groove and found the Bandits net 6 times, while holding the Bandits to only 2 goals in this period. Despite the strong comeback effort in this period, it was not enough for the Warriors to overcome the Bandits, who won the game 15-8.
Bandits scoring leaders were Luke Stienburg with 4 goals and 3 assists and Tyson Carvery with a hat trick and 3 assists. Newly acquired Matt Wilson scored 2 goals and 2 assists, while Dalton Brown and Dakota Morrisey also had 2 goals each, with 4 assists and 3 assists respectively.
Warriors were led in scoring by Jordan Whitford with 4 goals and an assist, Lewis Jarvie with a hat trick and an assist and captain Connor Dennis who had 1 goal and 2 asssits.
Warriors and Bandits face off 1 more time this season, when the Warriors visit the Bandits on Friday, June 28 at 8pm at Shearwater Arena. Come out for some exciting Friday Night Lax!!!
