Bandits take a strong 2nd to down the Warriors

The Bandits ride a strong 2nd period to a victory and keep there winning streak at home. Warriors came out of the gate strong but the unbeaten Bandits continued their dominance over the Warriors

Friday Night Lax had the Mi’kmaq Warriors travel into the city to face off against the Dartmouth Bandits at the Shearwater Arena. 

Warriors started off the scoring early, scoring just a minute into the game and kept up the scoring leading the Bandits by 3 goals in the 1st period before the Bandits could get a goal in themselves. However, this lead didn’t last long for the Warriors, as the Bandits took over scoring for the rest of period, ending the first 20 minutes of play leading the Warriors 4-3.

The rest of the game, Bandits dominated the scoring as they scored 8 more goals in the 2nd period to Warriors 3 and 7 more goals in the 3rd, while Warriors were only able to score once during the last 20 minutes. Bandits win this game 19-7.

Scoring for the Warriors was led by Kyle Langlois who had 2 goals and 1 assist. AP player Tyson Stevens had his first Jr. A goal in this game, as well as an assist.

Bandits scoring leaders were Dakota Morrisey who had 4 goals, while 3 players had hat tricks – Gaetan Tremblay (2 assists), Brett Draper (3 assists) and Tyson Carver (2 assists). 

Up next for the Bandits is a road trip to Fredericton, NB where they face off against NB Mavericks to showcase ECJLL Jr. A lacrosse to the NB capital city.
