Hurricanes down the Warriors on the road

The Hurricanes used a strong 1st half, to take a 13-4 lead going into the 3rd. The Warriors put on the comeback in the 3rd but was put where too far behind to draw even as the hurricanes continue there prefect season

🚨FINAL SCORE 14-9🚨 In 1 of 2 Friday night ECJLL schedules games, the Mi’kmaq Warriors hosted the Halifax Hurricanes at the Colchester Legion Stadium. Halifax Hurricanes opened the scoring just over 2 minutes into the 1st period and their offense lead in scoring during the first 20 minutes of play. At the end of the period the Hurricanes were up 7-4 over the Warriors. In the 2nd period of the game, Hurricanes offense continued to dominate in the scoring, while their defense also stepped up and didn’t allow the Warriors to get even one goal in during this period. At the end of 40 minutes, Hurricanes were leading the Warriors 13-4. Coming out for the 3rd period, the Warriors were revved up and determined to see the net before the end of the game. This determination proved to be successful as the Warriors did score on the Hurricanes 5 times during this period, while holding the Halifax opponents to just 1 goal in this last 20 minutes. Though the Warriors outscored the Hurricanes in the 3rd, the Hurricanes took home the win with a 14-9 final score. Scoring leaders for the Halifax Hurricanes were assistant captain Johan Glazebrook with 2 goals and 4 assists, and Ben Allison and Jacob Abbot who both had 2 goals apiece. Scoring for the Mi’kmaq Warriors was lead by Connor Sabatttis who had a hat trick and 2 assists, followed by Bryson Knockwood who had 2 goals and an assist. Next up on the ECJLL weekend schedule is a game tonight at 730pm at the BMO Centre in Bedford as the St. Margaret’s Bay Rebels host the NB Mavericks.
