ECJLL Draft & Combine Information

The new year is right around the corner, which is when the next generation of ECJLL stars begin their Jr A careers. Read more for information on this year ECJLL modified draft and draft for the ECJLL combine.
This year the ECJLL will be holding a Combine on Monday, January 7th, 2019 6:15 - 9:30pm (registration starts at 6:15pm) at the Gray Arena. This is open to all graduating Midget players across Nova Scotia, as it is an opportunity for coaches to see players before making their selection on draft day. There is no cost to players for attending the combine.
In 2019 the ECJLL is moving to a Modified draft, which brings changes to eligible players to enter the draft. Below is the information around the 2019 draft changes.
2019 Modified ECJLL draft
Each team that is affiliated to a minor association will be able to protect 2 graduating Midget players from their association unencumbered. In addition, each team can protect a maximum of 4 additional players from their affiliated minor association, with compensation of a draft pick per player (3rd player protected costs the 1st round MMLL pick for that season; 4th player costs the 2nd round MMLL pick for that season, etc.). All other graduating Midget players will enter the draft.

January will be an exciting month for the ECJLL and looking forward to seeing the stars of tomorrow at the Combine which will be the start of there ECJLL career.
