Wolves down the Mavericks to Clinch a playoff spot

After a nail bitter lose to the Bandits the Wolves rebounded with a 13-6 win over the Mavericks to Clinch 3rd place in the ECJLL and will head to the playoffs.
Sat afternoon, NB Mavericks rode into Sackville, NS to face off against Sackville Wolves as both teams were on the path to the playoffs.
Mavericks started out strong in the 1st and leading the Wolves 3-1 at the end of the period. Wolves came out in the 2nd, hungry to come back from the deficient and 7 goals in the next 20 mins of play and keeping the Mavericks to only 2 goals. As the Wolves started the 3rd, leading 8-5, they kept up a strong defence, only allowing the Mavericks 1 more goal, as they scored 5 on the NB team.
With a final score of 13-6, the Sackville Wolves clinched a playoff spot.
Mavericks were led in scoring by Bryson Pruski who had 2 goals and an assist and by Remi Theriault who also had 2 goals.
Wolves' Zac Carrigan was the big scorer for his team with 7 goals and 1 assist, as Mike Anthony added a hat trick to the score total.
The Mavericks are still on the playoff hunt as they were up next to play the Mi'kmaq Warriors on Sun, Jun 24 in Truro as the opponents to the Warriors last home game.
