Hurricanes ride a 9 goals first period to a victory over the Warriors

On Friday night, the Hurricanes traveled to East Hants to take on the Mi\'kmaq Warriors. The Hurricanes showed why they are sitting 2nd in the ECJLL standing with a dominating win 21-3 over the Warriors.
n the 2nd Fri night ECJLL game, Halifax Hurricanes and Mi'kmaq Warriors matched up at a neutral location at the East Hants Arena in Lantz.
Hurricanes being a fast, strong team dominated the game, often seeing the net and at the end of the 1st, were ahead of the Warriors 8-1. Hurricanes continued to dominate in this game, ending the 2nd period 14-2 and winning overall with a score of 21-3.
Scoring for the Hurricanes was spread across a number of players, with Glenn Holmes adding 8 goals and 2 assists while Phil Elford added 4 goals and had 3 assists.
Zach Whitford scored 2 of the Warriors goals as Jordan Whitford had the other goal for this Truro team. Randy Milliea added to his points total by assisting on all 3 goals.
This weekend sees NB Mavericks playing back to back games as they first faced Sackville Wolves today at 2pm in Sackville and then will match up in crucial game against the Mi'kmaq Warriors tomorrow at 2pm in Truro as the Warriors have their last home game for this season.
