Hurricanes sweep the weekend series against the Mavericks

Hurricanes take two games from the Mavericks over the weekend with a 16-7 victory on Sunday night at the BMO centre in HRM
Sunday in the back-to-back weekend matchup of NB Mavericks at Halifax Hurricanes, the Hurricanes took a second win over the travelling Mavericks.
The Hurricanes came off the first faceoff like a strong gale and scored the first goal within 9 secs of the period. They maintained this storm force through the first and second period putting 11 goals on the scoreboard by the end of the 2nd. Mavericks also played hard and fast, but were unable to match the Hurricanes until the 3rd, when they went point for point, each team putting 5 goals on the board in the last period.
Hurricanes led scorer for this game was #91 David Rossiter with 4 goals and 1 assists.
Mavericks #9 Jake Mosher-McGraw led his team with 6 goals and 1 assist.
