Hurricanes take the first of their weekend series with Mavericks

In Game #1 of there weekend series the Hurricanes lead from start to finish against the Mavericks, winning 23 - 4. Game 2 will be in less than 24 hour later.
Sat night the Mavericks rode into town for the first of their back-to-back weekend games against the Halifax Hurricanes. The Hurricanes were ready with lacrosse sticks ablazin'.
Hurricanes came out strong and scored 9 goals in the 1st period and blocking the Mavericks from getting a single goal in. Though the Mavericks played hard all game, they were only able to score 4 times on Hurricanes' net. Hurricanes played a whirlwind game, adding 10 goals in the 2nd period and 4 goals in the 3rd.
Top scorers for Hurricanes were Glenn Holmes, #10 for the Hurricanes, leading his team with 7 goals and 5 assists, and Matt Orman #19 had 4 goals and 3 assists.
Mavericks' Assistant Captain Jake Mosher-McGraw, #9 added 2 goals and an assist for his team, while Remi Theriault #13 and Jaden Hewey #14 each saw a goal this game.
