Hurricanes spoil the Wolves Home Opener in a nail bitter
2018-05-23Another nail bitter between the Hurricanes and Wolves on Tuesday night at the Rocky Lake Dome. This would be the Wovles home opener but it not the classic Sackville arena where they be in a few weeks.
The Hurricanes for the second game in a row dominated the 2nd period and never looked backed. The hurricanes where led by David Rossiter (2g, 2a) and Glen Holmes (1g, 3a) with 4 points each on the night. Will Holmes, Reilly Letterick and Matt Orman also buried two goals in the victory
The Wolves faught back in the 3rd with 4 goals, but fell short when the final buzzer sounded. The Wolves were led by Ben MacKay with 6 points (2g, 4a) while Zac Carrigan and Matt Wilson had 3 points each on the night.
The ECJLL will take a few nights off before the Halifax Hurricanes will be back in action as they travel down to Shearwater to take on the undefeated Dartmouth Bandits at 7:30pm. In the first spirited match up between these two the Bandits came out on top 8-5. This has the making of another classic in Shearwater
