Founder Cup team 2018, call for players

The East Coast Junior Lacrosse League is excited to announce that after a formal selection process the Dartmouth Bandits have been selected as the ECJLL team to attend the 2018 Founders Cup in Seneca, NY. This year, the ECJLL saw a common goal with Lacrosse Nova Scotia on providing more opportunities for current and future players. The ECJLL Founders Cup team selection process focused on approving a club to be the representative for NS at this tournament and the successful team of the Dartmouth Bandits will be the team that will attend in 2018. The process will be open again in 2019 for all teams to submit an application, as we continue to provide the opportunity for ECJLL players to play at the elite level. Although the ECJLL has selected the Dartmouth Bandits as the team to attend Founders Cup, the League, in partnership with the Bandits, understands not all players are able to attend the Founders Cup, and are making a call for interested players on any team in the ECJLL who would be interested in being part of the Bandits for the Founders Cup. The Bandits have several open spots that they would like to fill to complete their roster for the tournament. The Founders Cup is hosted in Seneca NY, from August 13 – 19, 2018. With the tournament being in the US, all players will be required to have a valid passport for traveling. The deadline for applying, is Sunday May 27, 2018. To apply, players are required to email Paul MacInnes (ECJLL Deputy Commissioner) e-transfer to paul.macinnes@bellaliant.net with the following information listed below and a $50.00 registration fee, selected players will be required to pay a $200.00 deposit upon selection to the team. The fund-raising committee have programs in place to raise funds to contribute to the overall budget, with shortfall paid for equally by participation players.

The Dartmouth Bandits will confirm the selection process once interested players are collected. Bandits coaching staff will be attending games to review players along the way before final selection of the team is completed.
