Penney leads the bandits in his return
2018-05-20Brenton Penney returned to the Bandits line up on Friday, and continue where he left off in the previous season, notching 9 points in a 13 -7 victory over the Wolves
Friday Nights ECJLL matchup of Sackville Wolves vs. Dartmouth Bandits saw the return of the 2017 league leading scorer Breton Penney. Penney led the Bandits to a victory over the Wolves, not missing a beat after returning from school and scoring 5 goals and 4 assists against the Wolves in his first game back.
The Wolves played hard and capitalized on many of the Bandits’ penalties, putting 7 goals on the scoreboard overall. Zac Carrigan led the Wolves with 3 goals and 3 assists as Matt Wilson added 2 goals and 3 assists himself.
This game was a chance for the next generation to see if they could knock off the top dogs. The up and coming Wolves facing the seasoned Bandits. But the veterans are still the top dogs as the Bandits remain undefeated in their 2018 so far.
The next Jr A game sees Sackville Wolves having their home opener hosting Halifax Hurricanes on Tues, May 22 at 730p at the Rocky Lake Dome in Bedford. Come on out and cheer on some great lacrosse action!
