Hurricanes spoil the Mavs Home Opener

In yesterday ECJLL action, the Hurricanes traveled to Moncton taking on the Mavericks. This was the Mavs first home game with their new look and put on a show for the fans, falling to the Hurricanes 13-10 in another classic match up
In NB Mavericks home opener yesterday, the Mavs hosted Halifax Hurricanes. NB opened the scoring and held the lead in the 1st period. The Hurricanes came back in the second and powered up in the 3rd to take the win.
Big scorers for the Hurricanes were Glenn Holmes had 4 goals and 5 assists and Alex Campbell with a hat trick. For the Mavericks Matt Downing also got a hat trick and Jon Majavery had 2 goals and an assist.
Mavericks play again today at 2pm hosting Sackville Wolves at the Kay/Lewisville Arena. Come on out and cheer these teams on!
