Bandits Spoil Hurricanes Home Opener

Monday evening, saw the rematch of the 2017 ECJLL final between Dartmouth Bandits and Southwest Hurricanes. The Hurricanes looking to get off to a quick start on their new home floor at the BMO, but the Bandits spoiled the party taking the match up 8-5.
The Bandits broke out to a 7 - 1 after two periods, but in a penalty filled third the Hurricanes struck a comeback netted four goals to keep it interesting but in the end the Bandits were too much for the Hurricanes spoiling their opening night.
The Bandits were lead by rookie Dakota Morrisey with two goals and a balanced attack, while the Hurricanes where lead by Reilly Letterick with 2 goals an an assist and Glenn Holmes adding 2 goals as well.
The Hurricanes will have a quick turn around as they play at home again on Wednesday night against the Sackville Wolves (1-0) at 7:30pm; while the Bandits will travel to Truro on Friday to take on the Warriors (1-1) at 8pm
