Bandits take down the Mavericks in home opener

Jersey Day in Shearwater proved to be too much for the Mavericks, as the Bandits took down the Mavericks 16 -4 in their home opener.
Game #2 of the season went last night in shearwater as the defending ECJLL champions opened the season with a win over the NB Mavericks in a rematch of last year playoff first round match up.
Leading the way for dartmouth was Tyson Carvery with 8 points (6 goals and 2 assists). While the Mavericks had a balanced attack with 7 players recording a point.
Next game is Sunday (today) at 2pm in Truro when the New Brunswick Mavericks finish off their road trip with a game against the Mi'kmaq Warriors both teams will be looking for their first win of the season
