Getting to Know... Bryson Knockwood, Warriors

Bryson began his career with the Mi’kmaq Warriors even before the team had touched the floor, being acquired in a 7 players deal the day before the 2015 draft.  From day one Bryson had an impact on the Warriors, recording 38pts (16goals, 22 assists) in his first year and being named to the 2^nd team all-star out of the gate.  The past two seasons Bryson has fought through injuries, limiting his number of games on the floor, but wearing the “A” for the Warriors is a leader to teammates and many Mi’kmaq youth. 
 
This past year Bryson Knockwood captained the 2017 Team Nova Scotia NAIG Lacrosse team to a history victory at the Ontario NAIG against Manitoba.  Bryson’s leadership has not only been on the floor, but off as he has become a lead around mental health for youth across Canada.  This leadership and inspiring story on the power of sport was captured by media in Toronto during the games.  A link to the article is posted below.

Bryson is looking forward to his 4^th season with the Warriors, after a successful NAIG in 2017. He is ready to help lead the Mi’kmaq Warriors back to the playoffs after a two year absence.

I try to bring a motivational role to the team, to get everyone to push a little harder, and go a little faster

IF you could play with any player - current or in history - who would it be?
Miles Thompson for sure

Would you rather win the Mann cup or NLL championships?
NLL Championship. It's been a dream since I began playing lacrosse

If you had any advice for young players coming up today hoping to play Jr lacrosse what would it be?
Keep your feet moving at all times.

I fly, because I would love to be able to see things from a different perspective.
