Getting To Know.... Keegan Delaney, Mavs
2018-01-08The 2018 ECJLL season is only four months away, which means it’s time to get that off-season workout in high gear. This year, the ECJLL wants to bring you even closer to the game.
Leading up to the season, the league will highlight players from across the league in a new series called “Getting to Know…” The feature will come out weekly through the website, and is a great way to get to know more about your favorite player.
Keegan Delaney has been the man between the pipes for the New Brunswick Mavericks over the last three seasons. The Moncton, NB native has been a staple in the Mavs lineup during this time and has provided stability to the goaltending position to be a leader for a young defensive core. "Keegan has been a tremendous player for us," says Mavericks head coach Evan Richtsfeld. "He provides a certain level of comfortability to our players in that we know he will make the big save when we need it.”
Over his junior career Delaney has achieved a 10W-17L-4T record with a 10.35 career Goals Against Average. Last season Keegan received 2nd team ECJLL All-Star Honours and led the Mavericks to their second consecutive playoff appearance.
